Biography

Kaylee grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and attended Arizona State University for both her undergraduate degree and law degree. Kaylee graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing, Rhetoric, and Literacies. During her undergraduate years, Kaylee was involved in researching rhetorical methodology and had the honor of presenting her research at the 2019 Association of Rhetoric & Writing Studies Conference in Austin, Texas. Kaylee went on to complete her honors thesis on her findings and graduated early in December of 2020.

From Kaylee’s interview for the Masters series on ReelLawyers.com

I decided to become a lawyer because I always saw the practice of law as a unique opportunity to serve people. It gives me access to tools and solutions that are available to everyone, but not always easy to navigate. It allows me to help people solve problems they can’t solve on their own. I also appreciate the rewarding challenge that comes with practicing law—I’m constantly learning and growing as the law develops and changes. There’s always something new to understand, and that keeps me engaged.

I find estate planning especially rewarding because we help clients navigate some really difficult topics and stressful situations. When you’re planning for an uncertain future, thinking through who will take care of you if you can’t care for yourself, or who will manage money for your children if they’re still young, it can feel overwhelming. There’s often a lot of uncertainty and worry about what the future might look like.

But being able to work with a client to understand their goals, concerns, and fears—and then using that information to craft a plan they’re comfortable with, and sometimes even excited about—is incredibly rewarding. My favorite part is when we’ve had those difficult conversations, the client has made their decisions, and it’s time to sign their estate plan. You can often see the weight lift off their shoulders. That moment of relief and peace of mind is a really special part of this practice.

Estate planning, in particular, is a very rewarding area of law.

Kaylee earned her Juris Doctor degree from Arizona State University, graduating Cum Laude in May of 2024. During law school, Kaylee completed an internship at the Attorney General’s office in the Criminal division, Health Care Fraud & Abuse section before deciding to shift her focus on probate and estate planning. Kaylee then went on to work as a law clerk at DBFWC where she received hands-on opportunities to work in the fields of probate and trust administration, as well as estate planning. She was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona in May of 2024, after having passed the Bar Examination while still finishing her third year of law school, achieving the third highest score in the state for the February 2024 Bar Examination.

Kaylee is passionate about helping her clients navigate their estate planning and guiding them through the process of making sure that they have a plan that they are comfortable with and understand. Kaylee enjoys working with each client on an individual basis to determine what their goals and intentions are, and how best to have them carried out in their estate plan.
