Charlene R. Ross

Senior Counsel

Charlene is originally from Kansas and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. Prior to law school, she had the distinguished opportunity to work closely with former Governor of Kansas, Kathleen Sebelius, serving as the Supervisor of Constituent Services and acting as a Policy Liaison for the community. She later earned her Juris Doctor from St. Louis University School of Law, where she refined her litigation and advocacy skills through the Trial Advocacy Center Program. During her time at SLU Law, Charlene began an internship with Legal Services of Eastern Missouri in the Consumer Protection Unit, which transitioned into long-term employment and deepened her commitment to advocating for underrepresented populations within the legal system.

Ms. Ross brings a wealth of legal expertise within civil litigation. Prior to joining Dyer Bregman Ferris Wong & Carter, she successfully owned and managed her solo firm for nearly a decade, focusing on child welfare, juvenile law, adoptions, and family law. Her strong litigation background and experience working with diverse groups enable her to adeptly identify issues and collaborate with clients to reach resolutions, even in contentious situations. She is a firm believer in the power of communication as a tool to unite people and overcome barriers.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Charlene remains actively involved in community events. She currently serves as Vice President on the Executive Board for Voices for CASA, an organization dedicated to advocating for the rights and welfare of children. She also enjoys traveling with her family, horseback riding, and is an enthusiastic supporter of her children’s athletic pursuits.
